Searching for youth in Kerala who are in search of guidance in vocation discernment especially to the Salesian religious life, becomes the primary mission of the department. And this is done through personal contacts, family visits, various types of camps and among them especially vocation camps. To this end, every possible occasion is materialized to direct the youth to the way of life where he is called to. He is helped to realize God’s predilection for him, through the call he receives. |
This department envisages to introduce the congregation to those who are interested in becoming Salesians and them to the congregation. The Salesian charism is presented to the young as a way of life where in God challenges every willing youth to give oneself off to the Salesian way of life and to the service of youth, especially the poor. The call of God, the invitation of Don Bosco and the expectation and need of youth become the pivotal conquering moral stance of every youth to discern their vocation to the Salesian religious life. |
